Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of GOD in CHRIST JESUS!”
Drawn to HIS Voice!
Awaiting HIS voice
of the words HE
…still onward proceed!
HE is listening indeed
and with Love.
Now bowing this will,
with both ears and
my heart opened wide…
LORD, instruct me to preach
and YOUR sacrifice speak
Each Reward and Rebuke,
oh Self, with HIS Compassion
So that each soul who hears…feels HIS passionate voice!
“Come up here!”
As HIServant regularly redirected and daily compelled to love, teach, assist and serve — relentlessly,
Devotional: Philippians Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead!”
“Straining to what lies ahead!” So!
What Joy and what great expectation then…WHEN we press in and climb upwards to HIM.
That’s the GODly combination of effort we’re called to…for our own blessing!
1 Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.”
Aren’t we called to a ongoing, even constant race that’s not against others but rather against Complacency, Apathy and everything Lukewarm?
I believe we are. I believe we are called to higher ground not just for our own benefit.
Instead it’s because there are “elevated intersections” that HE has others coming to that are to interact with us — for a combined, “pre-planned by GOD” purpose.
Even in Revelation there are calls to come up higher.
Chapter 11:12a “Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!”
Revelation 4:1 “1After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven.
And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying,
“Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
Being called to study HIS WORD diligently, we can also see how David was blessed with his own study of GOD’s WORD.
Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in YOUR sight, O LORD, my Strength and my Redeemer.”
So each day, oh Self…choose words of praise and both meditate and study on HIS — drawing closer to HIS Voice!”
Amen and amen.
