1 Corinthians 12:7 “A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”
The “Cost” of Connection!
There are gains that our senses
prefer over others;
for Fellowship’s Favor which
our SAVIOUR leads.
For to draw nearest CHRIST
in the midst of the Body
means we must reflect HIM
without one restraint.
Yea, without holding back, so
we shine as HIS beacons…
to mirror the LORD’s own compassionate steps!
Yet to do so, the price must
be willingly settled
by souls whose great zeal
ensures that it’s paid.
Even so, countless “many” still
go through the motions;
absorbing HIS light BUT NOT sharing GOD’s glow.
Then! When one won’t sacrifice Self; how grievous the cost!
How sad for the soul who
rejects giving all!
So look into the water to
sense your reflection;
look past every personal pride
to HIS Truth…
because those with GOD’s gifts
are each called to Surrender
and demonstrate CHRIST. Yea! Steadfastly…in awe!

Devotional: 1 Corthinians 12:4-11
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same SPIRIT. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same LORD. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same GOD WHO works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the SPIRIT is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the SPIRIT, to another the word of knowledge through the same SPIRIT,
9 to another faith by the same SPIRIT, to another gifts of healings by the same SPIRIT,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same SPIRIT works all these things, distributing to each one individually as HE wills.”
“The “Cost” of Connection!” then is a reminder to Self and all that GOD’s light must be redirected outward.
Yes, we each need renewing and being reignited by HIS Holy SPIRIT. But once that occurs, our displays are only meant for HIS glory, credit, honor and praise.
To retain any of what’s meant for others then is to rob GOD. As flesh we also do that in other ways but “Incomplete sacrifice equals partial surrender.”
But thank GOD HE is long-suffering with me! All thanks be to HIM WHO sits on the throne and has, as HE does with all HIS children, blessed me with a gift to give back to HIM…by out- pouring it fully on others.
1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of GOD’s varied grace…”
The worthy “Cost” then is our time, devotion, zeal and sincerity.
It DOES require much and our spouses and friends can easily point to how much study of HIS WORD we desire and display or…that we don’t desire and refuse to display.
So as a clear note to Self! Pay your vows to HIM WHO equipped you with heavenly gifts. Pour out always and make sure that by each day’s end, you are ready to be refilled!
1 Timothy 4:14, “Do not neglect the gift you have… (Meaning: Use what you have and give all that HE’s given you selflessly!)
