Palm Branch Praise!
Our victorious KING once rode through the streets.
Humbly HE came
and through sacrifice saved…
the unworthy known as “you
and me”.
Found one day lifting praise yet the next casting stones…
…oh how wavering our faith surely seems!
But GOD isn’t angry with us to bring wrath.
The price CHRIST wholly paid means we aren’t made to pay!
Thus Salvation’s palm branches, so fresh and so free,
lift them high with HIS praise WHO took our place at Calvary!
As HIServant never tiring of ever sharing HIS gospel and reminding all of the price HE alone paid,

Devotional: John 12:13 “So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out,
“Hosanna! Blessed is HE who comes in the NAME of the LORD, even the KING of Israel!”
Zechariah 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your KING is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is HE,
humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
JESUS rode a donkey to signify HIS humble kingship as HE entered Jerusalem, fulfilling the prophecy from Zechariah 9:9.
Yet many who honored HIM that day with the Palm Branch praise,
…showed up on the side of Pharisees, mocking CHRIST and calling for HIS crucifixion.
How ironic that many also said, “May HIS blood be upon us and our children!”
So what happened to all their praises and palm branches?
Perhaps also, what has happened to yours?
Has another voice shouted in your hearing that JESUS isn’t good enough?
That your efforts aren’t enough and you must do more and more to hope to be saved??
GOD forbid!
CHRIST took the nails in HIS palms so that we can lift HIS praise with our uplifted palms and voices!
Rejoice now, oh Listener! Lift the NAME of the LORD with your greatest outpouring of praise.
HE is coming!
