The Choices of CHRIST

Ephesians 1:4 “Just as HE chose us beforehand (before Time) in HIM from before the foundation of the universe, that we shall be holy and without spot before HIM, and HE ordained us beforehand in love for HIMSELF.”

The Choices of CHRIST!

All need CHRIST since Flesh chooses poorly; like a darkened device left alone to itself.
So it races towards going wholly astray every hour in each day; every way…without help.
With such “par for the course expectations”, so we know our “old nature” bound selves.

But GOD, intervening with
glorious life, brought HIS Grace unconstrained through Calvary’s cleansing.
Eternally paid so it is by HIS choice that we stand here redeemed in HIS presence — unending!
Once so lost, now re-bound to
our BISHOP and SHEPHERD, we rest well in HIM, our choice KING
and Defender!

As HIServant resting whom HE created, drew, chose, bought and cleansed forever,

Devotional: 1 Corinthians 1:27 “…but GOD has CHOSEN the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and GOD has CHOSEN the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong…”

We are flesh and both foolish and weak yet we rest well indeed since HIS NAME is above all others and HIS strength matched — omnipotent! Ever powerful!

When we look to our own abilities, it is unmistakably obvious that we cannot save ourselves. Our only hope of redemption came through HIS choice of the Cross. If not for HIS spotless, unearned sacrifice for us, we have nothing and would be nothing.

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen race who serve as Priests for The Kingdom, a holy people, a redeemed assembly; you should proclaim the praises of HIM WHO called you from darkness into HIS excellent light.”

But GOD! By HIM choosing that CHRIST would suffer, die and then rise again in our place…we have an eternal hope that HE guaranteed in HIS WORD! By HIS stripes alone we are healed from sin’s endless penalty!

So we can rest and my encouragement is that we also focus on strengthening such rest in the hearts of others.

In HIS arms there is fullness of Joy and no one can take us from HIS hands. HE’s THAT strong! No one…not even you or me.

So abandon the hunt for the old nature in self and in others…and rest in HIS finished work…all powerfully complete.

Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

So we serve relentlessly by HIS power and in HIS rest — simultaneously! Hallelujah!

Amen and amen!
