John 15:9 “Just as the FATHER has loved ME, I have also loved you; abide in MY love!”
THE Root of Love!
Without eternal love,
few develop such within.
Apart from gracious hearts,
none can learn what isn’t given.
With daily life untrained,
one can’t taste graceful measures.
Absent of Compassion then
none know of earthly treasures!
Therefore! This cycles’ spark
begins with emptied vessels…
routinely pouring out;
then refilled to greater levels!
So feel the love of CHRIST and bring your best — surrendered…
while trusting HIS provision since by HIM we stand — replenished!
As HIServant reflecting the love which HE taught us,
Devotional: John 15:10 “”If you keep MY commandments, you will abide in MY love; just as I have kept MY FATHER’s commandments and abide in HIS love.”
CHRIST’s example for being filled with love is to commune and abide with the FATHER while keeping HIS commandments.
When, in our flesh, we feel very empty and lacking any of Love’s depths or even its memoried residues, still GOD’s love remains.
Not only is HE continuing with HIS affections, HE blesses us with the compassions and kindness of others as we press into HIS presence…daily seeking to “abide with HIM.”
Ephesians 5:2 “and walk in love, just as CHRIST also loved you and gave HIMSELF up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to GOD as a fragrant aroma.”
So by staying close in HIS WORD with daily, even hourly refreshing, we can then WALK IN HIS LOVE and share HIM with broken, near empty and other dry vessels who need CHRIST.
Then we are a sweet smelling aroma to HIM and to those who are HIS.
2 Corinthians 2: 14-16 “But thanks be to GOD, WHO always leads us triumphantly as captives in CHRIST (bondservants) and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of HIM.
15 “For we are to GOD the sweet aroma of CHRIST among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
16 To the one, we are an odor of death and demise; to the other, a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task?”
So in reflecting HIS love, compassion, adoration and affection, we encourage the Body members who are in desperate need.
Likewise, we show the cold within this world that there is an eternal Flame WHO can forever warm their souls.
Sadly, our loving sermons are often foolishness to those who are perishing…being away from GOD’s embrace. Finally, let us follow HIS example of sacrificial love for others.
1 John 3:16 “We know love by this, that HE laid down HIS life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
The greatest love felt comes through giving more than receiving. Ironically, by seeking HIM steadfastly and continuously pouring out, HE will sustain us greater than if we just received love.
Why? Because Calvary teaches us to live, serve, breathe, give…and love like JESUS! The Root of all Pure Love!
Amen and amen!
