“Unevenly” Balanced!

Proverbs 16:11 “A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are HIS work.”

“Unevenly” Balanced!

On the odd chance that Balance

unevenly meets

in hearts yet divided;

between great extremes.

On this road most unlikely

in contrast, as such,

does one find such achievement

through sacrificed Love.

Where wholeheartedly being

with JESUS — aligned —

never found leaning back to

Self centered desires…

from percentages lesser,

our steps must withdraw…

to give GOD the greatest of portions! Our all!

Then “unevenly balanced”

shall we be infused

with the ONE WHOSE designs have prepared us for use!

With scarred hands so HE evens

these lives which are ours…

as we empty ourselves to

gain greatest — HIS heart!

As HIServant daily thankful for being my All in All,

Devotional: Philippians 3:7 “But whatever (earthly) things were gain to me, these I have counted as loss because of CHRIST.”

When Paul wrote this, he had a firm grasp on the “gains” of earthly life that were so highly valued by the flesh. He had everything.

But when GOD apprehended him on the road to Damascus, Syria, HE changed his heart, his vision and gave him a drive to seek the greatest portion of all. CHRIST HIMSELF! Consider the following verses in Psalms.

Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart may fail, But GOD is the Strength of my heart and my Portion forever.”

Psalm 142:5 “I cried out to You, O LORD; I said, “YOU are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”

Since HE is our All in All and the greatest treasure our earthen vessels can carry and share with the Lost, we must take to heart the next 5 verses, oh my soul!

Ephesians 4:20-24 “But you did not learn CHRIST in this way,

21 if indeed you have heard HIM and have been taught in HIM, just as truth is in JESUS,

22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,

23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of GOD has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth!”

So what is earthly is temporary and fades away quickly. Added all up together, sins’ distractions through us off balance. The flesh whispers:

“20/80 is good enough. Just go for the half hour service on Sunday or better yet; just go to the Wednesday night service. That’s a fair portion of your week to lose!”

But! Such are demonic lies, no less than that. THE LORD hates a false balance, an inaccurate ratio and such misplaced focuses upon this life.  Proverbs shows us this with absolute clarity!

Proverbs 11:1 “A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is HIS delight.

Proverbs 16:11 “A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are HIS work.”

So the wholly surrendered life unto CHRIST minimizes every earthly “portion” and takes on willing the greatest percentage and portion of JESUS — daily!

But HE is not a grievous or challenging weight for us. HE WHO took the weight of all sin upon the Cross reminds us in Matthew 11:30 as we close.

“For MY yoke is easy and MY burden is light!”

So not “20% CHRIST /80% “All else”!

HE never meant for us to be so lacking through life without HIS help.

Therefore willingly and quickly adjust the ratio in your lives to reflect HIM by FAR — as the greatest of portions you cling to relentlessly!

Amen and amen!
