Love’s Face — Forward!
Buildings over the years change as my face has in the mirror.
Once favorite stores have now become shells of what once was…
…so often disguised with face lifts, hiding wrinkles and scarring.
But one face unchanging keeps drawing my heart to look elsewhere.
From within-ward to upwards where CHRIST is our constant of Love!
So prepare your visage to mirror HIS image, face to face!

Devotional: 2 John 1:12 “Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be complete!”
2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the LORD, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the LORD WHO is the SPIRIT.”
As HE transforms us daily into a greater degree of transparency, so we learn what little worth “other things” have.
Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Humans naturally gravitate towards the want of looking their best.
But Matthew 6:25 speaks clearly to me that such focus on outer coverings often lessens our transparency for JESUS.
Strangers then know us more so then as our outward, nonverbal sales pitch promotes.
We read that Paul was far from impressive in person. Also, John the Baptist wore sheepskins and ate locusts.
So I’m again advocating and lifting the banner of Transparency while lightly regarding these outer coverings.
Content of the heart displaying CHRIST is pricelessly and infinitely greater than being a CHRISTian commercial which ultimately is more hype than it is Hope.
But when we shun our external trappings for Love in HIS heart and hands, then HIS face is seen beaming through our own!
3 John 1:14 “I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face!”
Love as JESUS, shining transparently so everyone sees HIS face alone!
