Proverbs 15:1 “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
Surrendering into “First!”
When “being right” becomes wrong
for our lives — without question;
where the scars on our hearts
are still waiting to heal…
When “the win” we assumed would
come with our expressions,
in fact, brings no blessing nor
grander appeal…
Then our wounds — once external
— now fester inside us as
cancerous leeches with
purpose — to kill.
Then since Self has afflicted
this soul with rejection,
thus wrecking my health far
too long so I will…
…now choose to discard these
— my harmful intentions;
surrendering wholly to
gain Victory’s sum!
And though all alone I might
stand on my own. here,
“this time’s” great reward are
HIS words, ”Child, well done!”

Devotional: Proverbs 14:29 “Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.”
Anger and Bitterness of heart are pointed daggers that cut out the love from one’s heart.
By still tightly embracing and relentlessly clinging to the razor sharp quills of Life’s porcupines, Self’s inflicted wounds remain.
James 1:20 “For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of GOD.”
Both Anger and Resentment feed that “being right, being first” goal yet neither tell you that upon “Winning!”, you’ve lost far more than the Victory perceived.
Psalm 37:8 “Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.”
So only by GOD’s sovereign indwelling am I able to “Surrender into First”! Knowing well that HIS approval is all we need
and so shall we hear, “Child! Well done!
