Abandoning our “Tug of War!”

Proverbs 21:30 “There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD!”.

Abandoning our “Tug of War!”

CHRIST draws us to HIM
yet the Flesh…many times
will reverse this blessed course.

Rejecting the disciplined walk
that HE taught so backwards
we press…into “lukewarm dross”.

Given this Truth, then Surrender…
to CHRIST as the wisest of choices.

For the battle HE won, yea, is “Over!” And “Done!” So, to HIM WHO has conquered, submit!

As HIServant reminding self and all to just lay down the rope and follow JESUS,

Devotional: Acts 5:38-39 “And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone;

for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing;

39 but if it is of GOD, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against GOD.”

A great, learning statement my father always told me was, “Know when to cut your losses and just move on!”

This has applied to my walk with CHRIST so many times.

When I did what I thought was best without consulting the LORD, my peace remained distant.

When Self was unconsciously taking the spotlight from our SAVIOUR, my walk with HIM suffered as such.

Matthew 16:24-25 “Then JESUS said to HIS disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after ME, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow ME.”

“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for MY sake will find it.”

So to one and all and Self, “Relent!” Lay down Self’s “tug of war” rope, both freely and forward facing, and run with HIM — leading!

Amen and amen!
